Our second baby will soon be born. Time for perspective.

Then one day I was on Facebook reading updates (as I tend to obsessively do) and I saw another friend from St. Mike’s, Denise, post something about “Tommy coming home.” She usually posts pics of her two year old son – which I always love to see but t I admittedly didn’t know much else about what was going on in her life these days. That day I did look a little deeper and realized that Tommy was her husband and he was going to be home from Afghanistan for two weeks. I immediately got teared up.

Daddy blogger’s Wife: “Advice for My Sister — the New Mom”

Now, my sister should know this more than anyone, because she is a kindergarten teacher. But, for some reason, I kind of forgot that I wasn’t going to be leaving Gus with just a random sampling of people. I was leaving him with people who choose to be with kids every day because they love them. They all have their own very distinct personalities but I have no doubt that each teacher in that room really loves Gus. And nothing makes me happier.
